You can hire a rental car from RSRNurburg for driving the Nurburgring. This program runs almost every day of the year. RSRNurburg has the most cars, from budget to supercar, the latest models, the best briefings and lowest accident statistics due to the experience of being over 20 years in business. Most rentals come standard with a ‘one lap instructor’ riding with you on your first lap to improve your experience. You can drive a couple of laps or drive until the end of the day.
There are two ways for a first timer to drive the circuit with an RSR Rental car: on a Trackday, and on a Public driving session (Touristenfahrten).
RSR offer you a range of guided tour, from a 3-hour program in any of our rental cars where you visit all 3 race tracks of the Nurburgring (The Nurburgring Nordschleife, GrandPrix track and the old and secret forgotten Sudschleife) to a full day road tour visiting German castles or driving up to the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit in Belgium!
A taxi lap is when you ride along as a passenger, while one of our expert drivers takes you around the track. Our pro drivers will drive you for one insanely spectacular and fast hot lap on the Nordschleife.
A combination of all of the above, extended with a museum visit or backstage tour. This is a full-day program with everything Nurburgring combined in one smart saver’s package.

Touristenfahrten, or “Public driving”, at the Nürburgring is a tradition that dates back to the very birth of the circuit in 1927. It’s arguably the single most amazing thing about the ‘ring and a major reason for it’s global popularity. Most people who drive the Nurburgring do so in a Touristenfahrten (Public Driving) session. These sessions are available on both the Nurburgring Nordschleife and Nurburgring GP Track. Anybody and everybody can be seen lapping the circuit on a Sunday, from motorcycles to supercars, station wagons and vans to dedicated track cars. It’s easy to become addicted to the thrill of the ‘Green Hell’! And while the Nordschleife during Tourist Sessions is notorious for mayhem and accidents, you don’t have to be alone out there since with our guidance on board, we can assure maximum safety at all times. Accidents can always still happen, but with our proven record of the best in the business when it comes to accident numbers, we do our best to make sure everyone has the best experience possible.

You are not on your own! When renting a car with RSR, a guide/instructor is with you on your first lap or multiple laps (included for mid-range and high-end and optional for entry level cars) to ensure a maximum of safety. However, you can prepare even more with the our RSR Intro package to the Nürburgring!
We know the Nürburgring can be intimidating at first glance – and for good reason! The track is long with many different twists and turns, camber changes and blind corners. On top of this, there can often be more experienced drivers going at a faster pace than you, making the whole experience quite daunting!

About Trackdays
If you want to drive the Nürburgring under the best possible conditions – then a track day is the way to go! Track Days are private events held on the circuit that require pre-registration and an entry fee, but hold many advantages over a standard Public Driving (Touristenfahrten) Session. From full use of the circuit, to relaxed restrictions on car regulations, these days offer many reasons to join in over a standard public session – including lower numbers, and a strict no bus and motorcycle policy and full personal track instruction! On these days you can bring your own car, or hire one of our specially prepared track cars to use on the circuit. Also included is technical assistance and advice on set up and ideal lines, and optional hire of RaceNavigator Video and Data Systems. Our professional instruction is available to you regardless of whether you choose to bring your own car or rent one of ours. Drive on a guided road tour around the amazing Nurburgring, including stops to talk at the most interesting sections of the old Nordschleife and experiencing the best driving roads around the Eifel region! We start by leaving the village of Nürburg and driving the old and long forgotten Südschleife. Then we continue via twisty and perfectly surfaced roads (often used as tarmac rally stages) alongside the Nordschleife with stops at Hatzenbach, Hocheichen, Wehrseifen, Breidscheid, Ex-Mühle, Bergwerk, Hohe Acht, Brünnchen and Pflanzgarten. On each location you will learn about the ideal line, the history, the issues of safety and how best to drive on a public day. We also pass by some of the (often secret) manufacturer testing facilities for the Nurburgring, ending the tour with a drive out on our favourite twisty roads surrounding the ‘ring.

Germany has some of the finest Castles in the world and if you have never visited one it’s simply a must-do on your bucket list. RSR not only provides the thrills on the race track; we provide you the opportunity for a guided road tour in our top sports cars to some of the best Castles in the region. On the Castle tour we drive out to the Mosel wine region, driving over some beautiful twisty roads and allowing you to enjoy the cars dynamics and handling characteristics while enjoying some great roads and beautiful scenery. We take a break for lunch alongside the Mosel river in the stunning historical town of Cochem with some truly picturesque views of the fairytale-like Cochem Castle up on the hill. After this our next stop is at the magnificent Burg Eltz Castle from the 14th Century which has had 33 generations of the Eltz family live in it. The road home doesn’t disappoint as we climb back up the hilly mountainside and then make the run back to Nürburg.

Spectacular roads and amazing scenery behind the wheel of a supercar – Sounds too good to be true, right? First you drive on a guided road tour around the Nürburgring in Germany, visiting all three tracks: the Nordschleife, the Forgotten Südschleife and the Formula One Grand Prix Track. On the way we make pit stops at important parts of the track to discuss the history and ideal strategies for driving on the ‘ring. We also drive some of our favourite twisty roads, and pass by some of the (often secret) manufacturer testing bases for the Nurburgring. Then, we head to the famous F1 track in Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. The Eifel mountains in Germany connect to the Ardennes in Belgium. Driving the open and twisty roads you will already get a feel for the car’s handling and capabilities. This is the time to enjoy the ride, the car and the beautiful scenery. After we arrive at Spa we will visit both the new track and also cover some of the roads that used to make up the old track. This is a great way to get a feel for the rich history of this magnificent track, experiencing what the old racing drivers used to as they raced their way around these fearsome roads. After this we head back to Nürburg, enjoying the cars once again on the open road. This is a full day tour, so make sure to have plenty of time spare to still drive either or both of these magnificent tracks!
